"What makes my work so unique is the dimensional beading process I created in 1990. Up until then, bead weaving was an American Indian specialty that used single size beads to create a flat surface.
I didn’t want to compete with the master Native American beaders, rather I wanted to create something modern to differentiate my beading style from what the discerning shopper was accustomed to seeing. The solution was using different size beads with special finishes and materials such as gold cords and threads to create dimensions within the bracelet strip.
Many people have adopted this technique now as their own, however, my works stands alone in its use of color, pattern and complexity."
